Phillip Schofield admits relationship with younger ITV employee
TV presenter Phillip Schofield has admitted he lied to his colleagues and the media about an affair he had with a younger male ITV employee. In a statement to the Daily Mail, Schofield confirmed the relationship took place while he was still married. The former This Morning host said his affair with the man, who the BBC is not naming, was "unwise but not illegal". He has resigned from ITV with immediate effect and will no longer present the British Soap Awards next month. Schofield also told the BBC he was stepping down from being managed by talent agency YMU "with immediate effect".
